Hi, I'm Carl Kent, and welcome to my site! Although I am a dentist by profession, my favorite hobby has always been machines and manufacturing. My grandfather was a welder and that's where my interest started. When he was out working, he (for obvious reasons) didn't let me anywhere near the job, but I would sit with my face pressed against the glass garage door, absolutely fascinated by the flame and the glowing metal and even my grandfather's protective mask. Sometimes when he wasn't working, he'd let me wear the mask, and I would use sticks to pretend I was a welder, just like him. Even though I didn't go on to work in that field, it has always been something near and dear to my heart. (Don't tell anyone, but sometimes I still like to pretend that my dentistry tools are torches and that I'm welding my patient's teeth!)
